A Pre-Purchase Inspection (&#8220;PPI&#8221;) will enable the client&#8217;s appointed engineers and advisors to review in detail all of the maintenance entries for the aircraft and to undertake a physical inspection of the aircraft. \u00a0\u00a0<strong>Lateral 4T<\/strong>\u00a0can organise and oversee the conduct of the pre-purchase inspection of an aircraft and undertake a specific audit of aircraft records in order to ensure that the aircraft has been maintained in accordance with manufacturer maintenance programme requirements.\u00a0 Specialist advice on the interpretation of pre-purchase inspection reports and acceptability of discrepancy items by\u00a0<strong>Lateral 4T<\/strong>\u00a0will invariably save the client from acquiring an aircraft with costly maintenance faults.<\/p>\n<p>The extent of the PPI will be subject to the age of the aircraft in question and the number of hours flown, but will always involve the requirement for a boroscope examination of the engines and (where applicable) the APU.<\/p>\n<p>The results of the PPI and their\u00a0interpretation will form the basis of the\u00a0ultimate decision as to whether or not to proceed and the justification for any negotiated price reduction. <strong>Lateral 4T<\/strong>\u00a0is able to advise upon the results of pre-purchase inspections and to assist in the negotiation of appropriate reductions in price or insistence on maintenance items being completed or undertaken.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pre-Purchase Inspection<\/p>\n<p>In a similar way to buying a house a client needs to have their chosen aircraft inspected or surveyed in order to ensure that the aircraft has been maintained correctly and is up to date in terms of manufacturer requirements and that any applicable airworthiness directives have been complied with\u00a0correctly\u00a0and in due time.
